I lost Adrian on Tuesday, April 29, 2008. She started getting sick Friday night; vomitting several times and aspirating. After a night at the emergency vet, and seeing my vet she was diagnosed with &#8220;Aspiration Pnuemonia&#8221;. Antibiotics did not touch it, and in 3 days she was only getting worse. She had a condition called &#8220;Megaosophogus&#8221; in which she inhales stuff that is suppose to go down into her stomach. I felt she had the Pneumonia for several weeks. Her chances to pull through with 3-4 days of ICU were not good, and if she pulled through, she wouldn&#8217;t be able to run. I opted not to put my girl through this, as running was what she lived for.<\/p>\n<p>While not even 2 years old, she left her mark on the field by standing at #11 ASFA Whippet for 2007. Her aunt Al is very proud of her, and very sad, as Adrian was suppose to carry on Al&#8217;s legacy after Al retires. Adrian is pain free now, missed by many and dearly loved by family.
