6-10-06 – 4-29-08. I lost Adrian on Tuesday, April 29, 2008. She started getting sick Friday night; vomitting several times and aspirating. After a night at the emergency vet, and seeing my vet she was diagnosed with “Aspiration Pnuemonia”. Antibiotics did not touch it, and in 3 days she was only getting worse. She had a condition called “Megaosophogus” in which she inhales stuff that is suppose to go down into her stomach. I felt she had the Pneumonia for several weeks. Her chances to pull through with 3-4 days of ICU were not good, and if she pulled through, she wouldn’t be able to run. I opted not to put my girl through this, as running was what she lived for.

While not even 2 years old, she left her mark on the field by standing at #11 ASFA Whippet for 2007. Her aunt Al is very proud of her, and very sad, as Adrian was suppose to carry on Al’s legacy after Al retires. Adrian is pain free now, missed by many and dearly loved by family. Goodbye, Sweet Angel, until we meet again.
