Ace was our 3rd boy. He was a much bigger version of Willie. We really liked the red and whites. Ace showed some as a puppy and did a little lure coursing. However, he really was a BIG boy and went over the standard. He was a good loyal dog. I don’t remember him getting into much trouble, though with his long neck, he was able to crank himself up and eat what ever was in the kitchen sink drain! He also liked to steal the oven gloves and take them into his crate and lick them until they were sopping wet. He also liked his walks and traveling. He had a tough start in life though, as he got Parvo around 3 months of age. He pulled through it, but we think it caused some damage. Ace didn’t make his mark on the field or in the ring, he was just there, like a good old sock my dad would say. Sweet, loving and always a happy dog. You could take him anywhere and he’d have a good time. Ace made it to age 13 before old age got the best of him. We lost him July 24th, 2002. I remember well because it was my first day at my current job, and I wasn’t able to be there to say goodbye. I regret that…as hard as it is to do, they need their family with them. Mom was there so he didn’t go alone. I miss his faded red face and wagging tail.
